The Brazos River Authority (BRA) has announced an order from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to boil water before using in the city of Dime Box.
The order follows repairs on a six-inch water main and is in affect until further notice. Customers are advised to check the BRA web site.

The boil order is to ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes. Inadequately treated water may contain disease-causing organisms. These organisms include bacteria, viruses, and parasites which can cause symptoms such as nausea, cramps, diarrhea, and associated headaches.
TCEQ advises water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.
In lieu of boiling, use bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.
