Blue Bell Park Selected as a NCAA Regional Site

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M’s Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park was named one of 16 regional sites for the 70th annual NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee announced on Sunday evening.

Earlier in the day, Texas A&M won the SEC Tournament championship game, 12-5, against Florida to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship. This extends the Aggies’ school-record streak of appearances in the NCAA Championship to 10 consecutive seasons and the 32nd overall selection to the tournament field.

This marks the 11th time Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park will host an NCAA Regional. Texas A&M was one of seven SEC schools selected to host a regional, joined by Florida, LSU, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and South Carolina.

Each regional field features four teams, playing a double-elimination format. All 16 regionals are scheduled to be conducted from Friday, June 3, to Monday, June 6.

The remaining at-large teams, top-eight national seeds, first-round regional pairing and site assignments will be announced on Monday at 11:00 am Central during an hour-long live selection program on ESPNU.
