The Blinn College board of trustees held their annual meeting in Brazos County Tuesday on the RELLIS campus.
This was the last meeting for the two trustees from Brazos County. That’s after the seven elected members from Washington County chose not to support state legislation to continue the appointed Brazos County positions after December 1. Resolutions were adopted thanking Ann Horton of Bryan for serving four years and Jason Jennings of College Station for two years.
Blinn will continue its Brazos County advisory committee. The board approved the administration’s recommendations naming CHI-St.Joseph president Theron Park and C.C. Creations president Kenny Lawson to fill two vacancies.
The board also approved the administration’s request to seek architects interested in developing Blinn’s second academic building on the RELLIS campus. That’s after trustees learned last month that the two year old Schwartz building is already at capacity with nearly 2,600 students.
