The Blinn College Board of Trustees, meeting this week in Bryan, advanced a pair of construction projects.
Approval was given to nearly $3.5 million dollars in equipment for its new Allied Health Department on the campus of the Texas A&M University Health Science Center.
Blinn spokesman Brandon Webb says construction is several weeks ahead of schedule, allowing plenty of time for classes to start next fall.

The other project involves renovating the Bryan campus student center. Webb says phase one of the project has a budget of $500,000 and construction could start next summer.
