Blinn College trustees approve a new strategic plan that focuses on student success, performance excellence, and planned growth.
The work of a 16 member committee that began last fall was reviewed during a trustees workshop on February 8, followed by trustees approval on February 20.
Blinn’s director of institutional research George Guajardo told trustees that Blinn students, employees, and selected advisory board members were invited to answer a survey of open ended questions.
The committee received feedback from 181 people, representing 17 percent of those who could have completed the questions regarding Blinn’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
Joining the committee was a consultant, Steve Johnson, who provided details of each of three priorities.
