Blinn Chancellor Announces Retirement

Only the second chancellor in the history of Blinn College will be retiring at the end of the year.

Blinn College Chancellor Dr. Donald E. Voelter announced today that he will retire in December. Voelter served 14 years as Blinn College president before being named chancellor in June 2008. He came to Blinn in 1971 as a business instructor, and in 1974, became director of the occupational education division, which is now called technical education. Three years later, he was named business manager for the college. In 1983, he was appointed executive vice president of fiscal affairs, a position he held until being named president in September 1994.
