BCS Chamber of Commerce Heads to Washington D.C.

Bryan-College Station Chamber of Commerce members are heading to the nation’s capital this week for their annual Washington D.C. trip.

Chamber members will meet with all 36 congressmen and both Texas senators over the next four days.

President and CEO Royce Hickman says today they will also have a two hour session with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

“We give them our issues, they bring in their specialists on those issues. It often helps us because we are able then to go into an office and say we know the U.S. Chamber has got this position but let me tell you why we differ from that position,” said Hickman.

Hickman said they plan on discussing several issues including healthcare, education and fiscal responsibility.
