B/CS Businesses Continue to Report Growth And Optimism For The Future

Economic activity and optimism remains strong in the twin cities.

That’s based on the results of this spring’s Chamber Day survey, which was presented at the last Brazos County Commission meeting.

Chamber president Royce Hickman says volunteers collected a record 720 responses to a variety of questions.

83 percent believe the local economy will improve next year, 66 percent of the surveyed businesses and industries had sales increases over last year, and 49 percent of employers plan to increase their workforce next year.

The survey also asked how they rated the quality of qualified applicants for your type of business and outside of business how they rated the quality of life in Brazos Valley.
