UPDATE: Arrest Made in North Bryan Bank Robbery

7 p.m. update:

Bryan Police have arrested a Houston man for the armed robbery of the Prosperity Bank branch at North Texas and Highway 21.

Officers found 24 year old Kydrick Reshawd Benton in the area of North Hutchins and 33rd Street, where a vehicle was abandoned matching the description given by witnesses.

Officers had observed Benton driving that vehicle driving south on Texas.

Money taken from the bank and other unidentified evidence was found where Benton was arrested.

Police confirmed the robber showed a firearm. No one was injured during the holdup or when Benton was apprehended.

Bryan police investigators are still collecting witness statements and other evidence regarding the robbery of the Prosperity Bank branch at North Texas and Highway 21.

McKethan says no one was hurt, and among the things detectives are attempting to confirm is whether the man had a firearm.

Bryan Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Prosperity Bank branch at North Texas and Highway 21.

Police received the call at 3:52 p.m.

Information known to police indicate a man wearing a black hoodie with his face covered entered the bank reportedly displayed a firearm and demanded money.

As police release more information it will be posted.
