During the three week period ending February 1st, the twin cities had nearly 80 vehicle burglaries.
Bryan police officer Kelley McKethan says 29 victims were in Bryan and 49 were in College Station.
McKethan says the common factor is the vehicles are unlocked.
McKethan says 14 burglaries of 20 burglaries in Bryan last Thursday were in a new housing development off Chick Lane between Villa Maria and Leonard Roads.
