Since 2003, the Bryan/College Station chamber of commerce has announced this year’s recipients of community impact awards.

The program was started in 2003 to recognize Hispanic, African-American, Asian, American-Indian, Women, and/or Service Disabled Veteran business owners who have demonstrated a significant impact in the community.

Recipients are members of the B/CS chamber who meet HUB (historically underutilized business) certification requirements of at least 51% minority ownership and have been in business for a minimum of three years.

This year’s recipients are Mary Beth House with Curious Collections, Andrea and Charles Green, Kaleigh Bowman, and Nayokia Lyons with Tone 360 Fitness Studios, and LinnAnn Collins with Comfort Keepers.

Chamber president Glen Brewer says this year’s recognition will be done virtually. The $20 dollar registration includes a $10 dollar lunch coupon to The Quarry Bar & Grill at The Phillips Event Center at Briarcrest.
