Autopsy Rules Austin Pilot’s Death Suicide

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) _ The autopsy report on a pilot who flew his small plane into an Austin building housing an Internal Revenue Service office lists his death as a suicide.

The Austin American-Statesman obtained the autopsy report on Andrew Joseph Stack III from the Travis County medical examiner’s office through a public information request.
The report states that Stack died of blunt-force trauma and that his “entire body is pulverized.”

The report states that the remains included a severely burned upper body and a mangled lower body. A toxicology report came back negative.

Also killed in the Feb. 15 crash was IRS worker Vernon Hunter.
