Austin Film Producers To Be Shooting Inside The Brazos County Jail

A movie crew from Austin will be shooting inside the Brazos County jail next month.

That’s after county commissioners approved a contract for a film titled “BULL”, a title that commissioner Steve Aldrich attempted to modify to the Aggie friendly “GOOD BULL”.

Jail administrator Wayne Dicky says the film crew will be in town for one day.

According to the contract, filming is limited to the low risk unit, the outdoor courtyard, the visitation area waiting room, and the phone visitation area.

Dicky says this is the first request they have approved since the popularity generated by the TV special of comedian Jeff Ross’s performance to inmates three years ago.

No inmates will be involved in the film.

The film’s location director, who was at the commissioner’s meeting to pick up the signed agreement, declined to provide any information about the production.

The county will be reimbursed for the cost of any employees, plus a $2,500 dollar facilities fee.
