A Bryan policeman believes someone they were trying to arrest was trying to commit suicide by cop.

That’s according to the arrest report of catching a Bryan man wanted on arrest warrants from nine criminal cases out of Brazos County District Court.

Thursday afternoon, four officers were tied up searching a house on East 27th near Gordon.

The home included a four foot square hole ripped out of the floor which leads to the dirt foundation.

Officers found in the hole a loaded rifle and a cell phone containing what were considered to be threatening text messages.

When 39 year old Rene Bolduc Jr. was found…inside a couch that had the stuffing removed…he reportedly said according to the arrest report “I don’t care I’m dying”.

Bolduc kicked one officer in the chest, a second officer grabbed a large hunting knife from his belt and threw it across the room. After wrestling with two officers, Bolduc was placed in handcuffs and taken to jail on new charges that include evading and resisting arrest.

He is held on bonds totaling $112,670 from the new and old cases.
