Assaulted Bryan Man Arrested for Gun Threats

What began as a birthday in Bonham Park ended with an arrest for assault with a deadly weapon, but Lieutenant Sharean Gideon with Bryan PD says it didn’t need to end that way.

Gideon says although Robert Moore, 23, was arrested for threatening three male relatives with a shotgun, they had beaten him up earlier.

She says after Jacob Ochoa,28 , Jose Ochoa,22 , and Salvador Sanchez, 26, beat up Moore at the park, Moore drove to his father-in-law’s Bryan home to talk.

Gideon says he was approached by the same three men as before and was afraid,  so he threatened them with his shotgun, but they beat him up a second time.

Someone saw Moore standing with the gun in the street, and reported it.

Gideon says in a case like this, it’s wisest to report before things escalate.

She says Moore could file charges on the first attack, but possibly also on the second, claiming self-defense.
