Arrests Made Following A Wrong Way Crash Between Kurten And Wixon Valley And A Second Arrest In The Armed Robbery Of A Pizza Delivery Driver’s Car

A crash involving a wrong way driver on Highway 21 between Wixon Valley and Kurten has resulted in an arrest on a charge of intoxication assault causing serious bodily injury. The DPS arrest report says 19 year old Oscar Hernandez of Bryan had a blood alcohol level of more than one and a half times the legal limit at .144. The victim of the May 19th crash was taken to a Houston hospital with injuries to his left hand and arm. Hernandez, who was arrested last Thursday (August 1), was released from jail the next day after posting a $20,000 dollar bond.

There is a second arrest in the July fourth armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver’s car in Bryan. 18 year old Jarrion Ervin of Hearne joins 17 year old Tramane Lyles of Bryan in the Brazos County jail. The victim’s car, which was taken at gunpoint, was recovered in Hearne. Lyles, who is also jailed on property crime charges from May 4 and June 16, is held in lieu of bonds totaling $217,000 dollars. Ervin’s bond was set at $150,000 dollars.
