A Brazos County sheriff’s arrest report says a child protective services employee and other concerned citizens stopped a three year old wearing only underwear from walking along Leonard Road west of Bryan in front of a mobile home park. After deputies tracked down the child’s mother, she returned home and said she left her daughter home alone because she had to work to provide for her family. 24 year old Gabriela Jimenez-Lara is out of jail after posting a $5,000 dollar bond following her arrest on a child endangerment charge. A sheriff’s spokesman tells WTAW News that the child was placed in the custody of a family friend.
A College Station police officer patrol officer wrote in his arrest report he thought it was odd at midnight last Friday (October 11) to see a man pushing a baby in a stroller in the area of Wellborn Road and Southwest Parkway. The man, 40 year old Raymond Glover Jr. of College Station, wound up going to jail for the fifth time in the last 17 months. The newest charges are for possessing ecstasy, throwing away marijuana, and three warrants from Bryan municipal court. The arrest report did not say who took custody of the baby. Glover remains jailed as of October 15h in lieu of bonds totaling $16,000 dollars.
College Station police respond to a woman’s report that her ex-boyfriend was trying to break into her apartment by drilling out the deadbolt of her front door. The CSPD arrest report says the man, who wasn’t able to drive away from the scene due to a flat tire on his car, was caught following a brief foot chase. The arrest report also referred to video from a doorbell camera where the man drilled a hole into the tire of a pickup that the victim was driving. 25 year old Patrick Joiner of College Station was charged with burglary with the intent to assault the victim and evading. Joiner is out of jail after posting bonds totaling $19,000 dollars.
Bryan police arrest an intermediate school student on a charge of threatening to bring a gun to school. A joint news release from BPD and Bryan ISD says last Thursday’s incident (October 10) at Rayburn intermediate did not involve a credible threat to the school, students, or employees. The unidentified student was removed from campus and taken to the Brazos County juvenile detention center on a misdemeanor charge.
