Arrests For Assaulting Son At School, Driving Without A License, And Repeated Public Intoxication

A Bryan man started the holiday weekend in jail on a charge of assaulting his son at Rudder High School last month. According to the arrest report, 41 year old Robert Lange Jr. was at the school to pick up his son after he was suspended. Lange is accused of grabbing his son’s neck, dragging him outside, and striking him enough times to leave his son with a bloody nose and a swollen lip. Lange is out of jail after posting a $5,000 dollar bond. His son has moved out of state to live with his biological mother.

Two drivers who were convicted earlier this month for driving with an invalid license return to jail. College Station police stopping a car for speeding on Wellborn Road on the Texas A&M campus led to the arrest of 33 year old Shunte Johnson of Bryan. According to her arrest report, she has 19 active suspensions on her drivers license. And a Bryan police officer who saw a SUV fail to signal at the intersection of Villa Maria and Rose led to the arrest of 39 year old Jeremy Swanner of Bryan. Both drivers are out of jail after posting $2,000 dollar bonds.

A Bryan man convicted of public intoxication on May 10th, May 11th, and May 13th returned to jail Sunday night on another public intoxication charge. Bryan police responded to complaints from residents on Randolph Avenue, west of the downtown area. 58 year old Charles Johnson remained in jail Monday morning on a $2,000 dollar bond.
