Wednesday afternoon update:

Bryan police announced the man accused of beating another man with a bat Tuesday morning, 37 year old Cedric Fielder Sr. of Bryan, turned himself in Wednesday afternoon at the Brazos County Jail. Bond has been set at $100,000 dollars.

The 28 year old victim remains hospitalized in critical condition following the beating at the King Mart convenience store.

Wednesday morning update from Bryan police:

Update: The victim is still listed in critical condition at St. Joseph Hospital. The suspect has been identified and a warrant for his arrest has been issued:

On May 26, 2015 at 10:00am Bryan Officers responded to King Mart, 700 block of E. Martin L. King Blvd for an aggravated assault that had just occurred. One victim, a 28 year old male, was assaulted with a bat by a known suspect. The victim was transported to St. Joseph Hospital and is in critical condition. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arriving on scene. The investigation is ongoing and updates will be given when further information becomes available. At this time the case has been turned over to the Criminal Investigation Division.

News release of Tuesday night aggravated assault from Bryan police:

On May 26, 2015 at 10:30pm Bryan Officers responded to Ducky’s Car Wash, 1600 S. Texas Ave. for an aggravated assault that had just occurred. The victim reported to have been followed by a black male in a white 4 door car. After the victim pulled into Ducky’s Car Wash, the suspect approached his vehicle. The suspect then produced a firearm and shot, striking the victim. The victim drove to a relative’s house before being taken to St. Joseph Hospital. The investigation is ongoing and updates will be given when further information becomes available. At this time the case has been turned over to the Criminal Investigation Division.

News release of Wednesday morning aggravated robbery from College Station police:

On Wednesday, May 27, 2015 around 0229 hours, Officers with the College Station Police Department responded to a report of an Aggravated Robbery in the 600 block of College Main. Upon arrival, Officers learned that a single victim was walking in the area when he was approached by a vehicle occupied by four Hispanic males.

The vehicle stopped and two males exited from the back seat. One male pointed a hand gun at the victim and demanded money. The second suspect punched the victim in the mouth. The victim handed over money and the suspects got back into the vehicle and left the area.

The offense was not reported for approximately 20 minutes. Due to this time delay, Officers were unable to locate the suspects or vehicle in the area. The victim sustained non-incapacitating injuries and refused medical treatment

The two suspects were described as follows:

Suspect #1: A Hispanic male, approximately 5’8” and 160 lbs., approximately 25 years of age, wearing a red, black and white striped t-shirt. The gun was described as a small, black colored semi-automatic pistol.

Suspect #2: A Hispanic male, approximately 5’8” and 160 lbs., approximately 25 years of age, wearing black t-shirt with a tribal logo.

Suspect Vehicle: 1990-2000 model, beige 4-door passenger car with dark tinted windows.
