Another Property Crime Spike in College Station

Over the last two days, College Station police has received reports of 18 vehicle burglaries.

Half came in Wednesday morning and half were Tuesday.

There was no forced entry from seven of the nine reported Tuesday.

Lt. Steve Brock says to make sure vehicles are locked and remove all valuables, even power cords, because thieves think they’re connected to a device.

Most of Wednesday’s burglaries were in the Eastgate neighborhood; bordered by University, Munson, George Bush, and Texas.

Seven of the nine from Tuesday were in the parking lot of the Huntington Apartments on Dartmouth.

Next door at the Falcon Point Condos, eight vehicles had one tire slashed.

Brock says the two sets of crimes might be related.
