A woman who was placed on probation in Brazos County district court more than nine years ago to multiple criminal charges may be headed to prison.
It’s the third time the district attorney’s office has filed a motion to revoke probation of 55 year old Rose Rodriguez.
She lived in Bryan when she admitted to theft by deception. That included selling homes she did not own. One of the victims were lifelong friends.
According to court records, prosecutors want Rodriguez to serve a ten year sentence after violating six conditions of her probation.
That includes failing to pay restitution to three married couples that total more than $76,000 dollars. According to the DA’s office, one couple is owed approximately $58,000 dollars, another couple is owed $15,000, and the third couple is owed $3,050 dollars.
The motion also states Rodriguez was arrested in September 2019 in Alvin, south of Houston, on a charge of forgery involving an elderly victim.
When she admitted to the thefts in October 2012, Rodriguez also pleaded guilty to aggravated perjury related to a civil lawsuit. The civil lawsuit found her and her husband were responsible for the death of a patient in their home-based assisted living business…nicknamed the Rose Home.
Rodriguez, who according to online records is scheduled to make a court appearance March 4, is held without bond in the Brazos County jail.
