A&M was led by senior Adrienne Pratcher’s 17 points, junior Kelsey Bone added 13, freshman Jordan Jones chipped in 12 off the bench and freshman Courtney Williams had 11 to round out the double-digit scorers for the Aggies.

The Aggies fell to 5-3 all-time in the NCAA second round and 18-9 all-time in the NCAA tournament. Nebraska moves on to face the winner of Duke and Oklahoma State game that takes place tomorrow.

The game started fast and furious with A&M jumping to an early six point lead through the first media timeout, but the Huskers responded by scoring 10 of the next 16 points to knot the game up at 16 with just over 11 minutes to play.

Nebraska used a 12-0 run over 3:42 of game play to take a 25-16 advantage, the Huskers kept A&M off the score sheet for over four minutes.

The Aggies fought to get back into the game cutting the Husker lead to just 32-30, behind seven points from Adrienne Pratcher in just over three minutes.

Nebraska responded with an 11-2 run to end the half and take an 11 point lead into the locker room. The Huskers shot 18-for-36 over the first 20 minutes compared to 14-for-30 for the Aggies. Nebraska was a perfect 2-for-2 from the free-throw line while the Aggies did not get to the line before the break.

The Aggies responded several times in the second half cutting the lead to as little as two points, but were not able to get over the hump.

Jones’ defensive pressure and three three-pointer, one the old-fashioned way, ignited the A&M team and fan base one final time on the night pulling the Aggies within single digits.

The 2013 class ended their career with the third most wins by any class, trailing only 2011 with 115 and 2012 with 110 victories.

A&M was outrebounded in the game by 12 including 11 offensive rebounds by the Huskers leading to 14 Nebraska second chance points.
