Regent Morris E. Foster will lead the chancellor selection process, along with Regents John D. White, Elaine Mendoza and Cliff Thomas. Both Regent Foster and Regent White have previously served as chairman of the Board of Regents, and Regent White participated in the selection process for the past two chancellors of the A&M System.

The A&M System has launched a chancellor selection website that includes the job posting, information about the position, and instructions for nominating candidates and providing input for the selection process.

Additionally, advertisements will be placed with The Chronicle of Higher Education, Diverse Issues in Higher Education, Hispanic Outlook for Higher Education and Women in Higher Education in the near future.

The outlined process follows the appointments of previous A&M System chancellors. At the May meeting of the Board of Regents, Box indicated that he expects to arrive at a finalist for the chancellor position in the near future, perhaps as early as the fall.
