A&M Cadet Dorm Rooms Burglarized During Home Football Games

While the Aggies won Saturday’s football game, there are at least 24 members of the Corps of Cadets who lost valuables because they didn’t lock their dorm rooms.

Lt. Allan Baron of the University Police Department says Aggie rings and electronics were among the stolen items from White Hall.

That brings to more than 40 the number of burglaries in cadet residence halls during home football games.

Baron says more eyes will be on the cadets dorms this weekend.

He suggests those leaving town this weekend to take electronics and other valuables with them.

Most all the burglaries were the direct result of students leaving doors and windows unlocked.

Allan Baron visits with WTAW’s Bill Oliver.
