A&M Back Up QB Named to Service Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Texas A&M junior quarterback Conner McQueen was named to the 2016 Southeastern Conference Community Service Team for football, which was announced by the conference office on Wednesday.

The SEC names a Community Service Team for each of its 21 league-sponsored sports, looking to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to his community through superior service efforts. McQueen, from Klein, Texas, has been involved in The Big Event community service project and has volunteered at the Twin City Mission.

On the field, McQueen has served as the Aggies’ holder on all placekicks in 2015. The Aggies have connected on 60-of-68 total placekicks, including 22-of-30 field goal tries and 35-of-35 extra points.

SEC Football Community Service Winners Announced
