A Houston woman convicted of a drunk driving crash that severely injured a College Station police officer is off to prison.

Brazos County District Judge J.D. Langley decided the actions of 23 year old Alex Ford were enough to revoke her appeal bond. Prosecutor Brian Baker says Ford admitted to violating curfew and drinking alcohol on New Years Eve.

Last May, a Brazos County District Court jury convicted Ford of intoxication assault in a January 2010 crash that also injured three passengers in her sports car.

The Maserati that struck a patrol car left officer Tracy Sheets with critical injuries. She remains employed by CSPD but is recovering from surgery on an ankle.

The judge ordererd Ford to be transported to a state prison to begin serving a six year sentence.
