Ags in top 25 rankings after win over OU

Despite their 40-point road win over then fifth-ranked Utah, the TCU Horned Frogs stayed third in the newest BCS rankings as Oregon and Auburn stayed on course to the National Championship of Football.

Undefeated Boise State is fourth followed now by once-beaten LSU following their win over Alabama Saturday.

Stanford, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Ohio State and Oklahoma State are the second five.

Oklahoma dropped from eighth to 16th after their loss to A&M and speaking of A&M, they are now Nationally ranked A&M after their 33-19 win over the Soones. The Aggies are 23rd in the AP poll, and 25tht in the BCS and the coaches polls.

It was certainly the biggest win of Mike Sherman’s coaching career and for most Aggie students, the biggest win they’ve ever witnessed at Kyle Field. Saturday night an Aggie defense that certainly showed signs of “Wrecking Crew worthiness” stopped Oklahoma three times inside the five yard line, two of those at the one… and beat OU for the first time since 2002.

After the game there was a lot to ask and a lot to say.

In the Big 12, Oklahoma State took over the lead in the South with a 55-28 win over Baylor, Kansas scored 35 points in the fourth quarter and beat Colorado in Lawrence 52-45; Texas Tech came back from their loss to A&M and beat Missouri 24-17; Nebraska beat Iowa State in overtime 31-30 when the Cyclones faked an extra point and went for two and failed; and Texas went to 2-4 in the Big 12 with a 39-14 loss to Kansas State.

Next Saturday, A&M is at Baylor at 6 pm in Waco; Kansas State at Missouri, Iowa State at Colorado, Texas Tech at Oklahoma, Kansas at Nebraska and Oklahoma State at Texas.
