Ags drop just one spot in coaches poll to 11th

The Aggies win over Kansas State Saturday evidently helped their reputation despite the ugly loss Wednesday to Texas because the coaches poll released today only dropped A&M one slot to 11th from 10th. The AP poll dropped A&M 2 spots from 11th to 13th.

Texas had a great week with wins over two top 10 teams, the Aggies and then 2nd ranked Kansas at Lawrence, which stopped the Jayhawks 69-game home winning streak. The Longhorns jumped from 10th to 7th in the AP poll while Kansas dropped to 6th. Texas is 8th in the Coaches poll.

Ohio State is still number one with Pitt now Nop. 3 followed by Duke, San Diego State and UConn.

On the women’s side, Baylor is still ranked No. 1, assuring that they will be the top ranked team when they come to Reed Arena Sunday at Noon to meet A&M. The Aggies stayed ranked no 6 in the AP vote.
