Aggie Men’s Tennis Wins Three Matches on Day One of LSU Invitational

BATON ROUGE, Louis. – The Texas A&M tennis team split four matches on day one of the LSU Invitational Thursday afternoon at the LSU Tennis Complex in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Aggies faced players from Princeton in all four matches contested on Thursday; while Rice, Denver, Tulane, Ole Miss and host-LSU are also in town for the invitational.

Junior Max Lunkin and freshman Kevin Lam claimed wins for the maroon and white over a players. Lunkin defeated Tom Colautti 6-2, 6-4, while Lam topped Mo El Tonbari 6-1, 6-2. Lunkin and junior Frankie Colunga fell to Joshua Yablon and Jimmy Wasserman 8-7(5), also of the Ivy League Princeton squad. Junior James Martell fell in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2, to Jon Carcione. Lam and Martell partnered to defeat El Tonbari and Ben Tso 8-2, while Colunga defeated Tso in three sets.
