Aggie Men’s Tennis Begins Main Draw at ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. – Senior Giulio Perego is moving to the round of 16 in the qualifying draw consolation bracket after a two-set sweep in the round of 32 at the ITA All-American Championships.
Perego was fighting to advance in the consolation bracket after a loss yesterday, motivating him to a victory, taking down Iiro Vasa of San Diego, 7-6 (4), 6-4. He is next set to take on Sean Daryabeigi of South Carolina in the round of 16.
The duo of junior Ethan Silva and sophomore Grant Lothringer were fighting for a spot in the doubles consolation quarterfinals, ultimately falling to the duo of Richard Biagiotti and Krish Arora of Georgia Tech, 6-3, 7-5.
Tomorrow, Sept. 25, main draw play starts with senior JC Roddick and duo of junior Togan Tokac/Perego representing the Maroon & White.
