A highly-touted Texas A&M freshman quarterback is under arrest, charged with lying to College Station Police.
19-year-old Johnny Manziel was arrested early Friday morning after police broke up a fight in the Northgate area. Manziel is accused of giving officers false information about his birthday, as well as a fake I-D to falsely show he was 21. Police found more fake I-D’s in Manziel’s wallet.
Manziel, who according to aggieathletics.com was a Parade All-American and the National High School Coach Association Football Player of the Year at Kerrville High School, was expected to compete for the starters job for the Aggies this season. His status with the team is unclear.
