Aggie Expressway Public Hearings Being Held In Anderson & Conroe

Two public hearings are being held this week related to the new Highway 249/Aggie Expressway project in Grimes and Montgomery counties.

The first stop for the Texas Department of Transportation is at the Anderson Community Center on Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m.

The first part of the meeting is a come and go open house. That will be followed by a formal presentation and comment period.

Financial information regarding the toll road, including toll rates, is the reason for this week’s public hearings.

Construction could start before the end of this year on the 14 mile toll road segment between Pinehurst to just north of Todd Mission.

Construction of the ten mile, non-toll road from Todd Mission to Navasota could start before the end of next year.

TxDOT’s second public hearing is Thursday from 3 until 5 p.m. at the Montgomery County courthouse in Conroe, in courtroom 402.
