Aggie Cat Bisbee Has Died

A member of the Texas A&M University community with more than 5,000 likes on Facebook and is followed by more than 3,000 on Twitter has died.

Bisbee the cat was found Thursday afternoon by maintenance workers.

Bisbee, whose name comes from the initials of his home, the Biological Science Building East or BSBE, was underneath the structure.

A search for Bisbee went into high gear after it was reported in social media the feral cat had not been seen since July 10th.

WTAW’s Bill Oliver visits with Eugenia Beh, who regularly visited Bisbee going to and from her job at A&M’s Evans Library.

The disappearance of the six year old cat had the attention of A&M President Bowen Loftin, who retweeted a post sent to him on Tuesday.

Bisbee was checked out by the Aggie Feral Cat Alliance of Texas, which is part of A&M’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biological Sciences.
