News release from Texas A&M Athletics:
No. 7 Texas A&M dropped both games of Saturday’s doubleheader against No. 8 Auburn from Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
The Aggies (34-10, 14-8) fell to the Tigers (32-13, 14-9), 18-5, in the series opener and dropped the middle game, 5-4.

The Maroon & White fell behind early after the Tigers plated six runs in the second inning. In the home half of the frame, Jorian Wilson responded with a two-run homer to left field that traveled 383 feet and left the bat at 105 miles per hour. Gavin Grahovac got in on the action, lacing a home run to deep left field. The Orange, California, native later hit his 16th home run of the season in the fifth inning.
The Tigers would go onto score 12 runs after the six-spot in the second inning to secure the 18-5 victory.
Shane Sdao (3-4) was charged with the loss after allowing six runs in 1.0 inning of work. Grant Cunningham entered first in relief, tossing 3.0 innings. Luke Billings, Cooper Powell and Cole Hubert followed out of the bullpen. Powell was the Maroon & White’s most effective reliever, tossing 1.2 shutout innings and delivering a pair of strikeouts.
