Academic Leadership Reorganization at A&M

The academic leadership team at Texas A&M University continues to change.

Two positions that reported to the Provost are going away. Interim Provost Karan Watson announced existing staff will pick up duties held by Vice President of Global Initiatives Eric Bost, who is leaving after the first of the year, and Assistant Provost Alice Reinarz, who is retiring in January.

Among those accepting new titles and more responsibilities are Martyn Gunn, who will become Vice Provost of Academic Affairs, and Joseph Pettibon II, who was named Vice President of Academic Services.

In a separate announcement, A&M’s Dean of University Libraries Colleen Cook is leaving for a position in Canada. Executive Associate Dean Charles Gilreath takes over as interim dean December 1st.
