Aggieland Humane Society Update

Aggieland Humane Society received a grant from the Texas Friend Animal License Plate program.

With the money, Leiha White said they can expand their Pitbull Wellness Packages to surrounding counties. They will start with Burleson County this Thursday.

The Pitbull Wellness Packages allow you to get your dog micro-chipped for free and receive a voucher for a free spay or neuter procedure and rabies vaccination.

White said 25 vouchers are available and you must bring your dog and proof of residence.

Aggieland Humane Society’s first stop is Davidson Creek Park in Caldwell on Thursday, October 1st from 7 – 11 a.m.

If not all 25 vouchers are claimed, the next stop is Snook Vet Clinic on October 2nd from 7 – 11 a.m., then Caldwell Vet Clinic from 1 – 5 p.m.

The Bark Leader 2015/2016 Campaign has started. Last year’s winning dog, Zapp raised over $3,000 and the total raised was over $11,000.

Wiener Fest is October 24 and race registration is up on the website.
