Weekend arrests for Bryan police includes responding to a family disturbance Saturday night. According to the arrest report, there was a large crowd standing in the street near 16th and Columbus. That’s north of Highway 21 and west of Texas. Witnesses pointed out the man who was holding an eight inch kitchen knife and carrying two more knives in a pocket. 34 year old Bennett Moore is accused of threatening to stab his girlfriend’s teenaged son in the street.
Bryan police also arrested a local man over the weekend who is accused of breaking into three vehicles parked at an auto body repair business a month ago. 26 year old Gabriel Ortiz is accused of cutting through a chain link fence and taking items from unlocked vehicles owned by customers.
