Record fall enrollment is reported for the fourth time in the last five years at Blinn.
That’s overall as well as the headcount at the campuses in Bryan and Brenham. It also includes the number of contact hours, the figure used for state funding.
As for headcount, Blinn reports 17,680 students on campus and online this fall, up from 17,245 on the unofficial 12th class day last September.
12,145 are in Bryan and 2,427 are in Brenham. That represents increases of over two percent overall and on Blinn’s two largest campuses compared to last fall.
Blinn’s third largest group of students comes from high schools. Fall enrollment in that group dropped by 42 students, from 1,503 to 1,461.
But that loss was more than offset by Blinn’s joint program with Bryan ISD. Enrollment at Bryan Collegiate High School increased 52 students to 266. That makes Bryan Collegiate the fourth largest group of students enrolled at Blinn.
