Freshman RB Bradford Not Reporting to Pre-Season Camp

COLLEGE STATION—Incoming Texas A&M freshman running back Jay Bradford will not be part of the 105 reporting for pre-season camp drills today due to health reasons.

“The health and well-being of Jay is the only thing that matters,” Aggie head coach Kevin Sumlin. “He is still part of our team but just unable to participate in preseason drills. Jay and his family know that they can depend on us through this process.”

The Aggie football team begins drills at 5:45 pm today on the Coolidge practice fields.

Texas A&M is ranked No. 27 in the pre-season USA Today Coaches’ poll and opens the 2015 campaign at NRG Stadium against No. 16 Arizona State in the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff game. Kick is set for 6 p.m. central and will be televised nationally by ESPN.

The Aggies will open the newly redeveloped Kyle Field on Saturday, Sept. 12 against Ball State in another nationally televised contest on ESPNU with kick slated for 6 p.m. central.

Aggie football practices are not open to the public.
