College Station’s Christmas Celebration Returning to Central Park

College Station’s annual Christmas event is returning to Central Park.

The city council gave the move a thumbs up at its last meeting.

Councilmembers did have questions. Gary Logan of the city’s parks and recreation department addressed Blanche Brick’s concern of having adequate parking.

Julie Schultz was interested in using hotel occupancy tax money to help pay for the event. Assistant city manager Jeff Kersten says it hasn’t qualified in past years.

The last four years, the city has held its holiday activities at Wolf Pen Creek Park with some lighting at Central.
