Davis Earns Honors at National Horse Show

FORTH WORTH, Texas – Texas A&M sophomore Emily Davis completed a successful week at the 2015 World Championship Appaloosa Horse Show at the Will Rogers Equestrian Center.
Davis competed against 60 entrants in three divisions, bringing home a top three finish in each.

“We are so excited for Emily and these huge wins she achieved with her horses,” said assistant coach Jessie Weisinger. “Emily is a hard worker both in the arena and out and these titles are very much deserved.”

The Hamshire, Texas, native earned three honors in her home state, bringing home third place in the Youth Hunter in Hands Geldings division. Davis added two titles to her collection after being crowned the Reserve World Champion in the 16-18 horsemanship competition and taking top honors as the World Champion Hunter Under Saddle in the 16-18 age group.

The 68th National Appaloosa Horse Show hosted hundreds of riders and horses from across the United States and around the world, providing rigorous competition among top athletes in multiple age groups.
