NCAA College Station Regional Field Announced

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M Aggies were selected to participate in their ninth consecutive NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, extending their school-record string.

The Aggies were tabbed as the No. 1 seed in the College Station Regional where they will face No. 4 seed Texas Southern in the first day’s action at 6 pm on Friday, May 29. On Saturday, Texas A&M will face the winner either No. 2 seed Coastal Carolina and No. 3 seed California.

It marks the 31st overall appearance for the Aggies in the NCAA Tournament and the ninth appearance in 10 years under the direction of head coach Rob Childress.

Coastal Carolina is 38-19 on the season, including a 17-7 mark in Big South Conference action. California is 34-19 on the season, including 18-12 in Pac-12 Conference play. Texas Southern is 31-17 on the season, including 16-7 in Southwestern Athletic Conference action.

The winner of the College Station Regional will face the winner of the Fort Worth Regional hosted by TCU in a Super Regional. TCU was handed a Top 8 National seeded and a regional with North Carolina State, Stony Brook and Sacred Heart.
