Six months of research by The Wall Street Journal shows major employers were after graduates of Texas A&M University.
Reporter Jennifer Merritt says A&M was second in its ranking of 479 of the largest public and private employers, who hired over 43,000 new graduates over the last year.
Merritt also reported graduates of public institutions were getting similar salaries as their peers from private schools. She also noted the importance of college students choosing internships that can lead to full-time employment following graduation.
19 of the top 25 schools were public, including the top three. Penn State was first and following A&M at number three was Illinois.
