Fallout Continues in Spring ISD

SPRING, Texas (AP) _ Four more administrators have departed a school district north of Houston where the graduation eligibility of nearly 600 students has been jeopardized by a series of errors committed by district leaders.

The latest departures announced Sunday by the Spring school district bring to 11 the number of administrators no longer with the district amid an investigation into various scheduling and transcript errors, including some that date back years.

The school board at a special meeting Sunday fired three employees while a fourth resigned.

Spring officials are rushing to verify whether the students have met the state’s graduation requirements.

A district review determined there were a number of problems, including missing transcripts and documents, and courses listed on transcripts with no corresponding grade.
