College Station Police Burglary Arrest

On February 3, 2015 at approximately 11:30 a.m., officers with the College Station Police Department responded to the 100 blk of Holleman Drive West in regards to a burglary of a habitation that had just occurred.

An off duty officer reported that he had seen a male inside of an apartment that had just been broken into.

As the officer attempted to detain him, the suspect fled on foot across the railroad tracks and Wellborn Road and other officers arriving in the area assisted in giving chase.

The original two officers were able to catch the suspect in the 100 blk of Holleman Drive and he was taken into custody after a struggle where officers utilized OC spray to subdue him.

Investigation at the scene found that the suspect had forced entry into an apartment in the 100 blk of Holleman Drive West and stolen electronics, a computer and cash with an overall value of approximately $3,000.00.

All of the property was recovered and returned to the victim of this offense.

Arrested was:

Joshua Alan Stewart
24 year old male
Bryan, TX resident

Stewart has been charged with Burglary of a Habitation (2nd Degree Felony), Evading Arrest or Detention (Class A Misdemeanor) and Resisting Arrest (Class A Misdemeanor).

Investigation into this incident continues and additional charges and arrests are possible.

College Station Police reported 8 vehicle burglaries at Meadow Pointe Apartments on Marion Pugh yesterday morning.

No arrests were mentioned in the significant activity report, but a truck that was taken was recovered.
