Same Suspect Wanted in Two CS Armed Robberies

Monday evening update from College Station Police:

On January 6, 2015 at approximately 2214 hrs, officers with the College Station Police Department responded to the 800 blk of University Drive in regards to a report of an aggravated robbery that had just occurred at that location. The employees at the scene reported that at approximately 2210 hrs the suspect in this offense had entered the business through the rear door. While in the business the suspect brandished a handgun, demanded money and subsequently fled the building through the rear door.

On January 12, 2015 at approximately 1009 hrs, officers with the College Station Police Department responded to the 2400 blk of Texas Avenue in regards to a report of an aggravated robbery that had just occurred at that location. The employees at the scene reported that shortly before calling 911 the suspect in this offense had entered the business through the front door, brandished a handgun and demanded money. He was able to then flee on foot through the parking lot in an easterly direction.

In both offenses the suspect is described as follows:

B/M with a light complexion
Approximately 5’10” – 6’00” tall
Late teens to early 20’s
Slim or slightly muscular build
Hoodie style sweatshirt/jacket
Backpack

Original story:

College Station police responded just after 10 a.m. Monday to an armed robbery of a payday loan business.

Lt. Chuck Fleeger says two employees of the Cash Advance America store on Texas between Brentwood and Southwest Parkway were not hurt and no shots were fired.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken.

The suspect description is a man of thin build whose skin color was not seen, standing 5-10, wearing gray pants and a black hoodie, and carrying a dark colored backpack.

The suspect was last seen headed east on foot.

Fleeger says witnesses saw the suspect in the area before the holdup. Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen anyone fitting the description to call police at 979-764-3600 or Brazos County Crimestoppers at 979-775-TIPS.
