During the holiday break on the Blinn College campus in Bryan, road construction is taking place.
The city of Bryan reports the center lanes on Villa Maria are closed from 29th to Rustling Oaks. That’s to allow construction of a median approaching the intersection of Joseph Drive.
New traffic signals are coming to the intersection, along with a new access in and out of the Crestview campus across Villa Maria from the college.
According to city officials, “One of the goals is to remove some traffic conflicts that existed with traffic attempting to turn left into the Crestview development and fighting against the Blinn traffic trying to enter the campus.”
This portion of the project, which began last Friday, is scheduled to take three weeks to complete. That will be followed by the Crestview entrance and exit, which could start right after the New Year and be completed by February 9th.
Blinn’s winter minimester classes start January 5 and spring semester classes begin January 20.
