Bremond Rallies to Top Albany for Class 2A Division II Title

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) _ Roshauud Paul ran for the winning touchdown with 1:17to play as Bremond rallied with 21 fourth-quarter points to beat Albany 28-21and take the Class 2A Division II championship.

The Thursday win brought 15-0 Bremond its second title in six appearances. Theprevious title was in the 1981 Class 1A final.

In the final AP 2A poll, Bremond was ranked fourth and Albany sixth.

Paul gained 149 rushing yards in 28 carries, and completed 6 of 10 passes for 79 yards.

Drew Neece led Albany with 50 rushing yards in 16 carries and passed for 108yards. Albany was seeking its third state title in six tries and its first sincewinning back-to-back 1A titles in 1960 and `61.
