Texans’ Clowney to Undergo Season-Ending Surgery

Houston Texans rookie outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney is set to undergo a second surgery on his right knee and will go on the IR for the rest of the year.

The No. 1 overall pick out of South Carolina has suffered a number of injuries in his first season in the NFL.

Clowney underwent a sports hernia surgery in June, then suffered a concussion during a practice session with the Denver Broncos in August.

He then tore the meniscus in his right knee in the Texans’ season opener and missed six games after undergoing arthroscopic surgery.

Clowney played four games in his rookie year, collecting 7 tackles and 0 sacks.
