Bryan police report the driver and passenger in a SUV that rolled multiple times Monday night escaped life threatening injuries.
Both were taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center. The 19 year old passenger was treated and released and the 18 year old driver is in stable condition.
The crash, on Texas Avenue north of Highway 21, closed the northbound lanes for about one hour to remove the vehicle and debris.
Investigators were told the driver fell asleep. The 1992 GMC Suburban drifted into the grass median on the left side of the roadway.
The driver awakened, overcorrected, and the back tire sheared off; causing the SUV to roll.
